NANA Research/EBP Grant Award 2025

NANA is pleased to announce the availability of Two Research and or Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) or Quality Improvement (QI) project grant award (Amount: $500). This grant aims to support NANA nurses and nursing students who are learning to conduct research/EBP/QI projects to contribute to the advancement of nursing science. This research/EBP/QI project award is expected to benefit the community through improved nursing education, scholarship, and or practice. Research/EBP/QI projects in theory, clinical training, and education are strongly encouraged.

The NANA Scholarship application proposals must be submitted electronically to (info@nanausa.org) no later than Friday, December 12th, 2025, 11:59pm EST.

Research grant awards will be announced & formally presented at the Annual NANA Seminar.

Candidate Eligibility Criteria:

1. All candidates must be life members of the NANA to be considered for a grant award

2. The candidates must hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in Nursing.

3. Individuals who have been awarded the grant in past are not eligible. 

Research Grant Proposal Directions:

1.All NANA grant proposals must be submitted as Word Documents (no PDFs, please) and include the following:

a. Title Page with grant title and teams name (candidate or research team’ s personal information must only be presented on the title page to allow for an anonymous review)

b. Abstract (limited to 250 words)

c. Body of the Paper

■ Statement of the problem

■ Significance /Review of the Literature

■ Statement of purpose and aims, Research Questions or Hypothesis(es)/Clinical Question

■ Research design and procedures (**including appropriate considerations and provision for the ethical treatment of human subjects, if applicable**)

■ Plan for data analysis

2.The proposal should be longer than three pages (excluding title page, abstract, and reference pages), typed with 1” margins, and double-spaced.

3.The applicant’ s current CV must be attached to the email as a separate word document.

4. Budget: The itemized budget list, budget justification (and or how possible award funding will be utilized), must be submitted as a separate word document. This funding may be used to fund a research study partially. If applicants have received any other funding support from other organizations to conduct this project, that should be included, and the candidate must explain how additional funding through this grant award will help to the successful completion of the project.

5. No research proposals will be accepted after the submission deadline is over. Incomplete grant proposals will not be reviewed.

6. Submissions-- Applicants must include the Proposal, Budget and budget justification, and current CV. Do not submit pdf documents, submit word documents only.

At LaGuardia, Salina has been actively involved in research and student leadership, including her work as a CRSP research scholar and a volunteer at various campus health events. She is  dedicated to lifelong learning and committed to serving diverse communities with compassion and professionalism. 


ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP 2025

  

NANA is delighted to announce two $500 scholarships. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist NANA nurses and nursing students who are continuing their nursing education in the US. It is anticipated that those scholarships allow deserving nurses and nursing students to attain their educational goals and support NANA nurses to succeed to their fullest ability. We encourage eligible nursing students pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees in nursing to apply.

The NANA Scholarship application proposals must be submitted electronically to (info@nanausa.org) no later than Friday May 16th, 2025, 11:59pm EST. 


Candidate Eligibility Criteria:

1. All candidates must be a member of NANA to be considered for the scholarship.

2. The prospective candidate must be enrolled in the nursing program (i.e. undergraduate degree in Nursing or higher) in accredited School of Nursing in the United States and should maintain sound academic status (GPA 3.0 or higher).

3. Awards Committee members and the President of NANA are not eligible to receive scholarship awards. 


Proposal Directions:

1. All NANA scholarship proposals must be submitted by the due date and include the following:

I. Purpose statement of how this fund will enhance your career goals, the purpose statement should be no longer than two pages (Single spaced, Times New Roman). 

II. Transcripts and Current CV of applicant must be attached to the email as a separate word/pdf document. 

2. The application will not be accepted after the submission deadline is passed. Incomplete scholarship applications will not be reviewed. 

3. Submission Documents-- Applicants must include about 2-page purpose statement (Times New Roman, 12 pt. Font, single space) and current CV, and transcript.
